The Challenge
The University of Hawaii needed a reliable partner to manage parking, valet, and ambassador services across its 320‑acre campus—home to more than 20,000 students and a high volume of year‑round events. The existing operators struggled with consistency, communication, and adapting to evolving campus systems, including major transitions from gated to ungated parking.
The University required a team capable of handling complex logistics, crowd and traffic management, donor services, shuttle operations, and event support while maintaining service excellence.
The Solution
Towne entered the University’s system in 2007 as its valet operator, gaining deep firsthand insight into campus workflows. Over nearly two decades, Towne built strong partnerships with Commuter Services leadership, adapted to multiple operational shifts, and steadily expanded its responsibilities—from event valet to student shuttle management, ambassador staffing, and campuswide support.
In 2024, Towne was awarded full campus parking operations after demonstrating proven expertise and consistent service.
The Results
Today, Towne manages comprehensive campus operations, including valet services for top Booster Club donors at sporting events, large‑scale event logistics, traffic flow, capacity management, reporting, and shuttle support. Towne also provides comprehensive valet and ambassador services to support athletic game day operations across all sports venues, community events, non-profit galas, commencement ceremonies, student move-in/move-out and more.
